City
Palace :
The majestic City Palace in white is well built on a hill. The main
entrance of the palace is a triple arched gate named the Tripolia, built in
1725. The Suraj Gokhada also known as the Balcony of the Sun, is another
outstanding monument, where Suryavanshi Maharanas of Mewar used to presented
themselves to the people if required to restore their confidence within the
people. The 'Chini Chitrashala' with its blue and white ceramic work is
noteworthy . The Mor Chowk known for its exquisite peacock
mosaics in glass is another attractions of the palace.
Fateh Sagar :
This was built by Maharana Fateh Singh. The elegant lake is watched on
three sides by hills and the Pratap Memorial on the north. One can enjoy
boat rides on the rippling waters of this beatiful lake.
Pichhola Lake :
The scenic is surrounded by hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and
embankments. Two island palaces, Jag Mandir and Jag Niwas Palace on the lake
are of magnificence excellence.
