Manali
Sitting on the lap of the Mother Nature, the picturesque Manali is situated
at the northen end of the Kullu Valley. Fluanting the spectacular natural
views of the Mother Nature, Manali is rightly christened as the "valley
of the Gods." As the Beas river with its clear water meanders through
the town the snowcapped peaks of the majestic Himalayas looks on vigilantly
with the surrounding green valleys. On the other side are deodar and pine
trees, tiny fields and fruit orchards flavour ed with the local folk music
makes Manali one of the most favoured destinations of the tourists from all
over the world. All this and more adds glory to the ambience of Manali,
presenting a spectacular canvas to the traveller. Manali is an excellent
place for a travel buffs, a favorite resort for trekkers to Lahaul, Spiti,
Kinnaur, Leh and Zanskar regions in Kashmir valley.

How to Reach There
The nearest airport is BHUNTAR (KULLU) is around 10 km south of Kullu town
and 50 km from Manali. Flights are available to and from Lucknow, Delhi,
Ludhiana and Shimla. The nearest rail head is Chandigarh, 280 km and
Joginder Nagar about 200 km away. The entire Kullu Valley is connected with
various centres both inside and outside the state. Other than HPTDC, a fleet
of buses is run by road transport corporations and private operators.

Tourist Attractions
There is nothing in Mnali which one can ignore. Every part of Manali has a
magnetic attraction. It is the enchanting landscape of Manali, which pulls
tourists from all over the globe. But apart from its God gifted natural
surrounding, Manali in Himachal Pradesh has many ancient temples and
historical places to visit.
Some of the tourist Attractions are :
Hadimba Temple : Built in 1533 A.D. this temple is the
chief attractions of Manali. According to history and archeology, it is
undoubtedly the Dhoongri Temple dedicated to goddess Hadimba. The temple has
four-tiered Pagoda shaped roof and the doorway is intricately carved with
legendary figures and symbols. A large festival is held here in May.
Manu
Temple : This temple of Manu Rishi lies in old Manali lies almost 3 km.
from the main bazar. It is believed that this is the only temple of Manu in
India, who was the creator of human race on the earth.
Vashishth Bath : Popularly known for its hot springs with
medicinal values. One can see the old temples dedicated to the sage
Vashishth and to Lord Rama here.
Other attraction are :
